How do I add a friend's birthday?
Tap the "+" button on the Friends tab, then either:
- Add manually by entering their name and birthday
- Import from your device contacts
How do AI gift recommendations work?
WishMe uses GPT-4.1 to analyze your friend's interests, age, and relationship to suggest personalized gifts. The more information you provide, the better the recommendations!
Is my data safe?
Yes! Your data is stored locally on your device. We don't upload your contacts or personal information to our servers. Only gift recommendation requests are sent to our AI service.
How do I delete all my data?
WishMe stores all data locally on your device. To delete all your data:
- Uninstall the app (this permanently deletes all local data)
- Or use Settings → Delete All Data within the app
- Or clear app data through your device settings
Note: There are no online accounts, so uninstalling removes everything automatically.
I'm not receiving notifications
Make sure:
- Notifications are enabled in Settings → Notifications
- The app has notification permission in your device settings
- Do Not Disturb mode is off
Can I use WishMe offline?
Yes! All your friends and events are stored locally and work offline. However, you'll need internet connection to get AI gift recommendations.
